Alan Mcloughlin

McLoughlin commenced his career off starring for Manchester United, before joining Swindon Town the next season. After a brief spell at Swindon he moved to on to play for Toruay United on loan prior a return to Swindon Town. He played for the Republic Of Ireland in Italia 90 and became a permanent starter at Swindon. His fine displays earned him a £1 million transfer to Aston Villa in the Winter of 1990 for £1 million. In February 1992, he moved to Portsmouth and enjoyed some great years at the club. In his first season, he helped the club reach the semi finals of the FA Cup.

Gerry Peyton

Gerry Peyton was believed as being one of the finest goal keepers to have ever participated in English football. He began his career in goal for Burnley, prior moving to Fulham, a club which he spent many fine seasons with, making a name for himself as one of the best goal keepers around. His era at Fulham earned him a call up to the Republic of Ireland national side, in total playing for his nation on 33 occasions. He later moved on to Bournemouth for a lengthy period before moving on to play for Everton, Brentford and West Ham. During his career, he had made over six hundred league appearances.

Niall Quinn

Quinn’s playing career really took off while he was playing for Arsenal during the 1986-87 campaign, becoming a regular fixture in the starting line up. He was one of their best players during their league cup win of 1987. During his era at Arsenal he netted in a decent 20 goals in 94 games and then went on to move to Manchester City for £800,000 in March 1990. His goal scoring record during his first full term was outstanding, 22 goals during the 1990-91 campaign earned him recognition as one of the most prolific strikers in Britain. quinn spent six years playing for City before switching to Sunderland. His partnership with Kevin Phillips up front at Sunderland was one of the most prolific in the premier league. He played for the Republic of Ireland in three world cups, the 1990, 1994 and 2002 world cup finals.

John Sheridan

After spending 7 years of his early career with Leeds United, Sheridan switched to Sheffield in 1989, a place in which he became well known as a fine football player. He helped Wednesday to promotion at the end of the 1990-91 season with his dazzling performances on the field. He will be is well known in Sheffield for his famous goal winner during the 1991 league Cup final against Manchester united. To this day the Sheffield Wednesday side of 1991, are the last lower league outfit to win a major trophy in English football. He played for the Republci of Ireland in Euro 88 and Italia 90.
