Frank Stapleton

Stapleton won one of his three major trophies at Arsenal during the 1979 FA Cup final. He scored Arsenals second goal in a thrilling game against Manchester united which has become well known as the ‘five minute final.’ Three years later, Stapleton moved to the club that he had helped beat at Wembley on that incredible day. Although the reds parted with a record £1 million for the forward, it proved to be a fine investment. Stapleton returned to Wembley with the Reds in 1983 and 1985 to complete a hat trick of FA Cup wins. Stapleton was a regual fixture of the Eire football team during the late 70’s and throughout the 1980’s.

David O'Leary

O'Leary Commenced his professional career in the year 1975 at Arsenal, making his appearance at the age of seventeen against Burnley. He went on to make 558 appearances for Arsenal in nineteen years. O’Leary established himself as a highly successful centre back at the Gunners; he made his 400th appearance for Arsenal at the age of just twenty six. In 1993, towards the climax of his career, he moved to Leeds United. David O'Leary went on to become a football manager, most remembered for taking Leeds United to the Champions League Semi-final. He played his international football for the Republic of Ireland, most notably scoring the winning penalty against Romania in the second round of the 1990 world cup.

Laim Brady

One of the finest ever players to have played for the Republic of Ireland, his credentials tell the story on its own, he played in three FA Cup finals and European cup winners cup final while playing for Arsenal between 1973 and 1980. He moved over to play in Italy for seven years, starring for strong football sides such as Sampdoria and Inter Milan, with supposedly the finest players in the world. He has won over 75 caps playing for the Republic of Irealnd and was ever present in the side helping them qualify for Euro 88 and Italia 90.
